When the Longshoremen Solidarity Union (CTSU) called off the strike, South Korea's logistical difficulties were finally resolved. However, the strike has already resulted in the suspension of the transportation of 920,000 tons of goods, which also meant that the local steel industry suffered a huge loss of about 1.2 trillion won as a result of the strike.
This 16-day strike, as recognized by the local steel industry, certainly led to numerous losses in various aspects, such as the import of raw materials and the supply of finished products.
As the South Korean government ordered work to resume, the strike finally ended on December 9.
