More than 1,500 filters of the air purification system were replaced at the NLMK-Kaluga plant (part of the NLMK Group).
The centralized gas cleaning system of NLMK-Kaluga's electric arc furnace corresponds to the best existing EU technology, and the residual dust concentration is only 5 mg/m3.
The system captures more than 99% of the dust generated during the steel production process. The dust captured by the filters is recycled and transported back to the workshop for further processing to produce steel or building materials.
