Copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) hit a new high on January 18 when it soared to $9,550.5/t in the session before bouncing back to $9,292/t. According to market analysis, copper prices have rebounded since entry into 2023 on the back of easing epidemic control in Asia and the depreciation of the US dollar.
Copper prices have risen sharply since January, up 12.35% in the last month and nearly 30% in the last six months. On the 18th, the price broke another record since June 2022.
