According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported about 4.4 million tons of hot rolled coil from January to November 2022, down 15% from the same period a year ago.
While imports from China more than quadrupled to 700,000 tons, imports from Russia and Ukraine fell sharply. Russia imported about 1.1 million tons, which is 40% less than last year. Ukraine imported about 230,000 tons, which is 79% less than last year.
