Norilsk Nickel (Nornickel), a Russian nickel and palladium mining and smelting company, said some of its projects that were scheduled to be completed after 2024 are likely to be delayed by two to three years as its Western partners refused to supply some equipment.
After the Russian-Ukrainian military operation in February last year, Norilsk Nickel and its products were not subject to direct Western sanctions against Russia, but the sanctions indirectly affected the company's activities.
Norilsk Nickel expected a decline in nickel and palladium production in 2023, but planned to sell all of the metal produced.
The implementation of Norilsk Nickel's projects will be delayed due to the refusal of Western partners to cooperate
