Chinese companies Baosteel, Angang and Bengang announced that they will continue to raise prices for April, of which the price of hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel rose by 200-300 yuan per ton.
As for price adjustments at China's top three steel mills, Chaodong Weng, chairman of Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC), said the increase was in line with expectations and would also support the uptrend in steel prices.
The continued rise in market prices in China showed stronger demand in China, coupled with high prices for international raw materials, steel prices were expected to rise steadily.
