In January-March 2023, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 4 times compared to the same period last year - to $583.69 million from $2.36 billion.
According to statistics from the State Customs Service, over this period, ferrous metals accounted for 5.66% of total revenues from the export of goods against 16.8% in January-March 2022.
In March, proceeds from the export of ferrous metals amounted to $226.61 million.
At the same time, over the three months of this year, Ukraine increased imports of similar products by 4.5% - up to $260.49 million. In March, products worth $97.09 million were imported.
In addition, in January-March, Ukraine reduced the export of hardware by 9.6% - to $243.73 million. In March, they were exported for $97.56 million.
At the same time, the import of hardware in the first quarter decreased by 30.1% to $174.19 million. In March, these products were delivered to Ukraine for $65.66 million.
