247TailorSteel opens new plant in the Netherlands

The 247TailorSteel service center group has further expanded in the Netherlands with the opening of a second manufacturing facility last week.

The 40,000 m² plant in Oud-Gastel, near Roosendal, is the company's largest plant. It was equipped with five laser cutting machines, four bending machines, four pipe laser cutting machines and two deburring machines. The second location in the Netherlands will serve mainly customers in the southern Netherlands and northern Belgium.

According to earlier announcements, the site will eventually have 16 laser cutting machines, ten tube lasers and 12 bending machines. Internal logistics processes are carried out by automated vehicles that automatically transport metal sheets and tubes to the support arms of the laser cutting machines. In addition, solar panels are installed on the roof of the plant.

With the opening of the new facility in its current form, 247TailorSteel's range of equipment has expanded to include more than 50 laser cutting machines, 40 bending machines and 20 tube laser cutting machines. In the future, the company plans to open a production site in Austria and another one in Germany.
