Ukraine has introduced final anti-dumping measures against imported coated carbon steel products from China. The duties will take effect on August 12, Callanish notes.
This decision followed an investigation initiated by the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine in response to a complaint from a local manufacturer, Module-Ukraine.
The measures are aimed at resolving the issue of dumping imports from China, protecting Modul-Ukraine and Heavy Metal. Together, these two manufacturers account for more than 50% of the total production of similar goods in the country.
The final anti-dumping duty applies to carbon steel flat products of Chinese origin, plated or otherwise coated, classified in Commodity Subheadings 7210 70, 7210 90 and 7212 40. The duty is applied for a period of five years.
