Deaeration columns are used directly to remove corrosive gas from feed water, as well as from boilers and hot water supplies, for example, for space heating. Structurally, such a deaeration column consists of an accumulator tank on which the column directly stands, a water drive, a mixing device, an overflow device, a steam bypass plate, a perforated plate, a water seal and other elements.
The principle of operation is based on the parallel connection of the column to the water supply. Water enters the column directly through the inlets, passes through the overflow device, where it is evenly passed into the perforated plate. It, in turn, passes water onto the steam bypass tray in a uniform stream. The steam inlet tray is designed for gas and corrosive mixture stripping from the water composition. Already purified water flows to the bubble tray, where it passes through several stages of filtration. It is worth noting here that the bubble tray performs the second stage of filtration by evaporation. Dirty vapors enter through the overflow threshold into the steam overflow pipe, from where it goes to the outlet. The water continues its way through the water seal and passes through the weir, after which it enters the accumulator tank.
From the storage tank, the water goes directly to it, but now it does not contain harmful substances, thanks to multi-stage filtration. It should be noted that the deaeration column is intended for various consumers, and such filtration will not be superfluous anywhere.
