The second group consists of do-it-yourself designs. It is these models that make it easy to assemble forged products. They, in turn, can be divided into two subgroups, a distinctive feature of which is the presence of a solid sheet or "lattice".
In the latter case, welder's table is a cheaper and lighter construction. In addition, it allows for a number of processes that cannot be executed on solid tables.
The grille is convenient for painting, it can replace painting "goats". Also, on lattice structures, you can make "ceiling" tacks.
Due to its low weight, welding table with grate can be easily moved from one place to another. But in some cases, solid surfaces are indispensable. This is especially true when it becomes necessary to create a forged pattern from monograms.
The dimensions of the table can be adjusted to the dimensions of the sheet, which is 1.0x2.0 m or 1.25x2.5 m. Moreover, the sheet must be selected with a minimum thickness of 3 mm. Height is determined individually.
When performing work on a low table, the foreman has to bend over, as a result of which back pain may occur. The high welder's table also creates additional inconvenience, since you have to constantly stretch your arms.
Based on practical experience, for a specialist with a height of 180-182 cm, the optimal height from the floor surface is 90 cm. Exceptions are the overall structures with grilles intended for the manufacture of gates. They are usually made of small height.
Assembly. The most critical element of the table is the frame, for the manufacture of which a channel or profile pipe can be used. In the case of using a pipe, it is necessary to weld the edges with a "truss". This will prevent the middle section from sagging.
