The technology for the production of VGP pipes is based on electric welding of billets from hot or cold-rolled carbon steel sheets. Then the products are necessarily checked through the X-ray method for compliance with technical standards. The service life of a pipe depends on several factors.
The main factor of internal wear is, of course, the substance being transported. So, a water pipe will last much longer than a gas pipe. Along with this, external factors, namely, changes in ambient temperature, sun rays and others, also cause considerable harm to the state of the pipeline. Therefore, in order not to be mistaken when choosing a VGP, it is imperative to familiarize yourself with the manufacturer's recommendations, as well as to check compliance with the requirements of GOST.
