Wooden containers are boxes, baskets and barrels made of different wood. It has quite good rigidity, which allows the container to withstand various loads. These wood products allow you to keep various goods during transportation. A box is a type of shipping container. The body of such a product has a rectangular bottom, two side and two end walls. It may have a lid.
This product can be made from lumber of the desired size - plank boxes. A container made of planks no more than 10 mm thick is called a thin-walled plank. For the manufacture of boxes, plywood or fiberboard can also be used. For the manufacture of this type of container, lumber strips are used. And there is another type of wooden packaging - combined boxes.
By designation wooden containers can be universal or special. It can be quite different in size. Sometimes situations arise when you need to pack cargo, the weight of which can reach 20 tons. Fastening of parts of wooden boxes is made with nails, wire staples. Structurally, containers are made non-collapsible or collapsible-folding. The box can be made in the form of a lattice or with closely fitting parts. If the box has a height of no more than 110 mm, then it is called a tray. In the process of use, the container is damaged and requires restoration. Therefore, depending on the state, the boxes are subdivided into:
1. Requiring repairs.
2. Refurbished.
If the container has more than four missing strips, then it is sent for repair. If the product is used for vegetables, then it needs to be repaired in the absence of one board. A container with damaged wire or tape (metal), corners, protruding nails is subject to repair. The restored packaging may have some deviations from the norm: the boards can be up to 3 mm thick, the gaps between the parts should not exceed 5 mm, the crack length should not exceed half the length of the board.
