Aerospace company Magellan has announced an agreement with P & WC that will generate approximately CDN $ 250 million in revenue by 2023. The castings will be produced primarily at the Hailey division, where Magellan has been operating for over 50 years.
Magellan is a world leader in the design and manufacture of aerospace components using the sand casting process . In addition, Magellan castings are used in engines in civilian and defense programs around the world.
This new long-term agreement recognizes Magellan's position as an industry leader and provides a foundation for a new level of production. In addition to casting programs for modern engine platforms, the agreement includes the production of castings for an engine family that spans the Airbus A320neo, Mitsubishi Regional Jet, and the Bombardier CSeries program.
Magellan designs and manufactures engines and components not only for the aerospace market, but also creates leading-edge products for industrial power generation and specialty industries. Magellan is a publicly traded company with operations throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, India and Poland.
Magellan President and Chief Executive Officer, Philip Underwood, said the 10-year agreement demonstrates P & WC's confidence in the company's ability to produce some of the most geometrically complex sand molds in the industry. Magellan will continue to invest in innovative new technologies to ensure the highest levels of product and performance.
