Advertising evolution
The first ad is attributed to the Egyptians. Advertisements for the sale of a slave were found on Egyptian papyrus, but advertisements were created not only on paper, but also on copper, wood, and even ivory. Of course, the majority of advertising existed (and still exists to this day) in writing, but, however, there are also oral forms of it.
Over time, advertisements have evolved from the simplest forms to entire advertising campaigns, interesting slogans, illustrations and textual intricacies, in general, who is good at what. For example, the printing press, invented by Gutenberg in 1450, opened up new horizons in advertising. Now the speed of typing texts has increased dramatically. And in 1630, Theophrastus Renaudot came up with the idea of printing advertisements in newspapers, which led to an increase in the number of people who saw the advertisement. Photography was invented in 1839 and it was immediately added to advertisements. Well, in the 19th century, the first advertising agencies were born, at first they simply bought pages in newspapers and resold them to advertisers, but then their activities diversified.
