The main switchboard is a special device that receives and distributes three-phase alternating current with voltage values of 380/220 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. Also, the main board protects outgoing cable lines from damage by short-circuit currents.
Installation of the main switchboard is carried out in the electrical room of a building or a transformer substation. The main switchboard can have one or several sections, one or two inputs.
Completion of the main switchboard
The main switchboard consists of lead-in, linear and sectional panels.
The input power cable is connected to the automatic machines and switches of the input panels.
The "load" is directly connected to the switching devices of the outgoing panels. Additionally, it is possible to place current transformers, ammeters, voltmeters and counters in them.
Sectional panels are designed to accommodate switching devices - automatic machines, circuit breakers, with the help of which, if necessary, you can switch the section to supply another source of electricity.
Benefits provided by the main switchboard
1. Ensuring the reliability and uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers.
2. The assembly of the panel from separate panels provides ease of transportation and installation.
3. The main switchboard can have cable or bus entries in accordance with the needs of the consumer.
4. The ability to timely disconnect damaged sections of the circuit ensures uninterrupted power supply to other consumers.
5. The closed design of the shield allows to restrict access to the installation by unauthorized persons.
