Strips is a high-quality rolled metal product, in other words, a steel strip with characteristics corresponding to its field of application. Actually, the very name " stripes " (translated from English - "stripe") contains the whole point.
Historically, many modern terms are of foreign origin. Well, what can you do if industrialization came to our region from the West and with a delay. Strip production
The technology this packaging material turned out to be simple : steel in standard coils is melted "into noodles" by the method of longitudinal cutting "from roll to roll" on special equipment. Those. each strip is wound into a separate roll. So the convenience of transportation is maintained.
However, in the conditions of small mechanical production, individual sheets are also dismantled. The width of the strips has standards - it is, as a rule, a multiple of the width of a standard sheet. But in some cases, the manufacturer can make the tape "to order". Therefore, steel tapes are divided into measured, unmeasured and multiples.
The raw material is sheet, mainly cold-rolled steel:

Standards
