When power lines are installed, supports are used - reinforced concrete or made of wood. High-voltage wires are attached to the supports using hooks and brackets. The hooks themselves are attached to the supports using a piece such as banding tape . Braces are also used. In addition, bandage tapes are also in demand when installing road signs. With their help, signs and other structures are also attached to supports and pillars.
How bandage tapes are made
Steel is used for the production of bandage tapes. The steel grade can vary (from 201 to 304). The finished tape is rolled into special coils at the factory. The coil is packed in cardboard containers or in a specially designed plastic container.
- The length of the tape is 25 to 50 meters.
- The standard band can be up to two centimeters wide.
- The thickness of the tape is about 0.8 mm.
In the manufacture of the bandage tape, much attention is paid to the edge: it is processed in a special way to protect the hands of those working with it from cuts and other injuries.
In a set with a bandage tape, special fastening devices are usually purchased - clips and yokes. With their help:
- the ends of the tape are fastened together;
- the tape is tightened on the support.
How the bandage tapes are tightened
It is difficult to do such work manually, so the workers use a special mechanism - a machine for tightening the tape. With this tool, fastening, tensioning and cutting of the bandage strip is carried out. The machine also allows you to attach brackets and hooks.
Mounting is done as follows:
- The sign that needs to be hung on the post is equipped with a bandage of sufficient length to cover the post and still have a margin.
- After attaching the badge to the support, one end of the tape is threaded into the binder like a trouser belt, so that it comes out on the other side.
- A tightening machine is put on the extended end of the tape, which is pushed all the way to the clips, after which it is fixed and the tie process begins.
- Having reached a certain level of contraction, the tape is cut off, and the remaining end is bent in the opposite direction, under the holders, after which the holders are bent with a hammer on both sides. That's it, the sign is fixed.
When bike parks are organized, supports with signs are also attached near them. The sign is mounted on a support using a bandage tape.
