Kerosene is a flammable colorless mixture obtained by distillation of oil. It is widely used in various spheres of human life, such as:
- fuel source;
- for technical work;
- for lighting works;
- for pest control;
- in folk medicine.

Technical kerosene is used as a raw material for the production of ethylene, it is used at the final stage - the firing of porcelain and glass products.

Non-fuel use
It is actively used in the fight against harmful insects. Such unpleasant neighbors for humans as bedbugs and lice disappear after being treated with kerosene.
The unique properties of the product were appreciated and applied in their practice by traditional medicine. On its basis or with its use, medicines, ointments, compresses are made for treatment:
