Environmental pollution is one of the global problems of humanity. In connection with the emergence of new methods of processing hydrocarbon-containing materials, the issue of waste disposal has acquired a new emphasis. Unlike bio-organic waste, such waste decomposes over the years, and appears every day in large quantities. Therefore, solid waste landfills and landfills are quickly overloaded and it is necessary to look for new areas for garbage storage.
Burial of garbage is dangerous because when precipitation gets into it, a landfill filtrate is formed, and methane is released during decay. Toxic substances enter the air and soil, which is very harmful to the environment. Combustible methane often ignites landfills, which is accompanied by the release of toxic smoke into the atmosphere. All of the above made it necessary to find new ways of waste disposal.
Pyrolysis has become one of these methods. Pyrolysis is the processing of waste by exposure to high temperatures. Recycling equipment is environmentally friendly and helps to significantly reduce waste. However, the main advantage of pyrolysis is that it can be used to process hydrocarbon-containing waste into fuel.
The pyrolysis process produces pyrolysis gas, which serves as fuel for the pyrolysis plant itself. Pyrolysis oil is formed, which is used as boiler fuel. When pyrolysis oil is separated into fractions, components of gasoline and diesel fuel are formed. Carbon black is also formed, which serves as a filler or sorbent.
Pyrolysis is economically beneficial as it turns the landfill into an energy source.

Large quantities of industrial rubber waste are delivered to landfills. Any industrial production is accompanied by a mass of such waste. This brings a number of inconveniences for the enterprise, namely: the problem of garbage storage on the territory of the enterprise, non-compliance with sanitary requirements, as well as difficulties associated with the removal of waste.
The installation of pyrolysis equipment directly at the production site allows to solve these problems, and also helps to reduce the costs of the enterprise. By pyrolysis of rubber goods from one ton of waste, you can get approximately:
- 70 kg. pyrolysis gas;
- 400 kg. fuel oil;
- 450 kg. carbon black
The resulting processed products are used for heating the premises of the enterprise and for its other needs.
