Of the greatest importance for the construction of new railways is the technique used to facilitate the work of the builders. Such a technique takes over all labor-intensive and physically complex work, allowing a person to perform the function of an operator, that is, to control. Naturally, the general state of the railway industry directly depends on whether there are full-fledged manufacturers of such equipment in the country or whether all railway workers import units from other countries.

If during the times of the USSR, almost every railway city had its own pilot plant for track machines with a powerful production base, at the moment there are only a small number of such enterprises concentrated in central Russia. At the same time, the rest of the countries of the former union were left without pilot plants, the main task of which is to introduce innovations in the process of creating new track machines. In most of these countries, there are no even specialized workshops capable of repairing rolling stock. Not to mention the full-fledged production of track machines, such as PPRM , MSHU and MPRU ... There are several factories that specialize in the production of such equipment and, in fact, only they can purchase new PPRM or MSHU. In other cases, we can only talk about used equipment with all the shortcomings of equipment produced in Soviet times.

Among these countries, Russia remains, in fact, the only region that uses domestic equipment along with foreign equipment, while at the moment the ratio remains in favor of the domestic manufacturer. Our factories can create the same productive ballast machines as, for example, the Americans from Plasser & Theurer. Domestic technology also cleans ballast from dirt well, ensures ballast elasticity and maintains the parameters of the rail and sleepers in a geometrically correct state.

In addition, a number of our track machines are specially designed for straightening and tamping sleepers. Such a narrow focus of technology affects the cost, which captivates potential buyers not only from Russia, but from Kazakhstan and Ukraine. More versatile machines can also repair turnouts and of course carry out ballast cleaning. Each of the track machines has its own individual working body, which, if the equipment is versatile, can be easily changed to a suitable one.

The main difference between domestic and foreign technology lies not only in the price plane, although this parameter has a decisive impact on the buyer, but also in overall dimensions. It is the size that differs between ours and abroad.
