Purpose
Each type of relays is used in a specific area to complete their tasks. So, a multifunctional relay (time relay) is a microprocessor mechanism that can be programmed, it is designed to turn on or off one or two loads at a given time. The multifunctional is connected to a network with alternating currents 220 V - 240 V with a frequency of 50 Hz, or to a direct current source. Has 2 groups of contacts to help switch to 16A with 250V AC rating.
The residual current relay is designed to guarantee the protection of operating personnel from electric shock in the event of a malfunction of electrical equipment with damage to the insulating layer. This is to avoid a fire that could result in a fire in the wiring due to a leakage current.
The power limiting relay is designed to disconnect loads, provided that the consumers have exceeded the permissible values for the power level. This device is able to control the active power consumed by a 3-phase network, turns off the power if the active power exceeds the set threshold, it can partially turn off the power if the active power exceeds the permissible threshold. The limiting relay is capable of operating with loads from 2.5 kW to 30 kW using an external current transformer and up to 450 kW.
How it works
If we talk about a multifunctional relay, it has 2 channels, each of which controls electromagnetic relays, contact groups for switching in accordance with preset programs. They are configured and connected from a computer using USB. The work is insisted on 3 autonomous modes - temporary relay, voltage, photo relay. When the voltage drops below the norm or when the threshold is exceeded, the contacts are disconnected.
The residual current relay works in this way: operating currents flow to the opposite windings to the transformer. The windings are connected to a forward and a return conductor leading to the load. In the event of force majeure, the actuators will come into action using currents induced on the secondary windings, and trigger the threshold mechanisms.
The power limiting relay monitors the work in the loads on the mains. If the current indicators for energy consumption reach critical indicators, then with the help of special blocks of the computational type, a command is sent to the executive circuit and the contactor is disconnected. After a certain time, the device turns on again in order to continue to carry out its purpose - namely
