To date, floor slabs made of reinforced concrete are the only material that is used to cover floors in a multi-storey building under construction. For the manufacture of reinforced concrete floors, steel reinforcement and concrete made of high grade cement and excellent quality are used.
It is thanks to the high quality of all the elements that make up the reinforced concrete product that it is distinguished by its unique strength and reliability. By the way, reinforced concrete floors are quite environmentally friendly and safe for human health. This fact is quite important when building a residential building. All reinforced concrete floor slabs are a multifunctional product and therefore they are used in the construction of buildings with a wide variety of purposes. So, for example, they are divided into different types:
- chamber slabs
- Floor slabs for channels and chambers
- Floor slabs for heating mains
- Slabs of balconies and loggias
- Hollow floor slabs
At the moment, reinforced concrete slabs differ in their structural and functional features. When erecting a building with a small number of storeys, lightweight reinforced concrete floors are used, which are not designed for the heavy loads exerted by the building. However, in turn, the installation of such products is quite simple, which can significantly reduce the time for building a building.
Hollow core slabs, in turn, are used in the construction of load-bearing elements of objects. The internal space of these products is dotted with voids, which allow providing excellent sound insulation and increasing the level of heat preservation in the room. Reinforced concrete slabs are most often used as a load-bearing part in brick-built houses. In this case, a product made of reinforced concrete blocks the free space between the load-bearing outer wall and the inner wall.
Reinforced concrete products are laid both perpendicularly and longitudinally, depending on the construction plan. Currently, reinforced concrete floors are produced, having various lengths from 160 centimeters to 900 centimeters. The standard thickness of a reinforced concrete slab is 22 centimeters.
Inside, the reinforced concrete floor slab contains prestressed high-quality steel reinforcement. The load that the iron must withstand
