Templates are applicable in measurement control, in work with welded joints. The template УШС-3 is considered universal.
Scope of use
UShS-3 is needed to measure the legs of fillet welds. The control takes place through a stepwise method and to a minimum clearance. The main areas of involvement are enterprises and organizations specializing in welding at various levels.
In practice, when working with special-purpose parts, it is very often difficult to measure parameters. Therefore, the most specialized are welding templates. It is produced in accordance with the standards and requirements of GOST. In its production, only high-quality steel is used, with a wear-resistant anti-corrosion coating. The tool is provided with a guaranteed service life and accuracy of each measuring cycle.
How to work with UShS
The measuring device has its own base and a special pointer. To carry out measurements, for example, the excess of the edge or the groove depth, the template is installed at point A on the product. To estimate the gap, the engine is introduced with its wedge-shaped part into the measured space. The result can be calculated on a scale. To estimate the bevel angle it is necessary to place the template on the surface B. By turning the slider, the surface B is shifted with the measurable surface. The result is calculated using a scale.
The main criteria for the measuring device are as follows:
- Template calibration is carried out exclusively at the expense of the means introduced into the method
- Once a year is the optimal period for calibration
- The template is strictly checked against the serial number and compliance with the TU requirements
- Correct performance goes up to +/- 45 degrees
Delivery of the welder's template kit is carried out with the template's passport. After all measuring work, the welder's template is well cleaned and degreased using a soft flannel cloth.
After work, the universal welder's template is thoroughly cleaned and degreased using a soft flannel cloth. To use the device as long as possible, it should be properly preserved.
