An important point in arranging a water heated floor with a concrete installation system is to start with the installation of thermal insulation, which must be carried out so that the heat from the heating elements does not evaporate down, but rises up, warming the floor. The final stage will be the connection of each of the heating circuits to the comb for underfloor heating , which performs a distribution and mixing function, which consists in adjusting the intensity of heat transfer and coolant temperature.
First, dust and dirt are removed along the entire perimeter of the designed surface. Further, an ordinary plastic film is rolled out throughout the site. It provides vapor barrier. It is important that the edges of the various pieces of film are glued with tape. In addition, there should be no holes on the film itself, if there is at least one, you need to seal it with tape.
Thermal insulation is laid on top of the film. It is best to use Styrofoam. In stores, it has a different density, so initially ask the seller: which one is better to use for the floor. Most often this is the 20th density, but it all depends on which company is the manufacturer, since the marking can be different. If you are told that the lower the density level of the material, the better, then you will not be deceived. But, if you use a too low density mark, then a drawdown will occur. It is necessary to lay the layers of thermal insulation with small gaps from the wall, about 1.5 cm.
Then reinforcement mesh is laid over the layers of thermal insulation. The section of the structure must be within 3 mm. A separate type of reinforcing networks is connected with each other using wire. In no case should the reinforcement be tied with plastic clamps, since in this situation the reinforcing layers will function nonuniformly.
Attach the pipe to the wire mesh or reinforcement with plastic zippers. Then connect the pipes to the manifold and pressure test.
