Gas tanks are specialized devices for storing and dispensing liquefied hydrocarbon gases. Such devices are used both in industry and in residential private households.
The process of creating gas tanks
Russian production of gas tanks established at the industrial workshop of the Medved plant consists of several stages, such as:
- Preparatory. During this period of time, the shipment, acceptance, sorting, storage and cleaning of metals required in the process of creating equipment takes place.
- Processing. At this stage, the process of producing semi-finished metal products with high strength, ductility and appropriate structure takes place. The steel used has minimal notch sensitivity, good weldability and corrosion resistance.
- Assembly and welding. During this period, the previously prepared blanks are combined into a single whole. For this, automatic and semi-automatic welding machines are used. In order to reduce the degree of occurrence of defects, an additional welding rotator is also used in production, designed to create circular seams on both sides of the gasholder tank. Metal cleaning is carried out by means of shot blasting.
- Coating. The latter are distinguished by their impact resistance and corrosion resistance. Airless spray ensures an even layer without sagging.
The industrial workshop, where the process of creating gas tanks takes place, occupies more than 2000 square meters.
The principle of operation of gas tanks
LPG storage tanks are created on the basis of standard designs developed by professional engineers. The basis of the gas tank is a cylindrical body, which is made by means of 09G2S steel sheet.
For the production of bottoms, two methods are used - flanking technology or cold rolling. INTERZONE materials are used as a barrier coating. The shut-off valves for the equipment of devices are the products of the CAVAGNA company.
Liquefied gas is stored in a container in liquid form. The consumer receives it already in the form of steam. This occurs due to gas evaporation, which is possible only if the filling of the gas tank does not exceed 85% of its total volume.
