In the industry there are a huge number of types of machines, conveyors and actuators. They all have a varied structure, and are designed to perform a variety of tasks. But, it is almost impossible to imagine their normal operation without a hydraulic drive. Industrial hydraulics allows you to supply a strictly defined amount of fluid, both for lubrication of mechanisms, and for their control and operation in general. That is why it is so important to give preference to correct, original components.
The main purpose of the NPL series pumps
Most often, this series of vane pumps is used for uncontrolled oil supply to the hydraulic systems of metal cutting machines. They come in two versions, with the supply of one and two streams at the same time. Other mechanical characteristics include:
- Perfectly suited to low cost mineral oils.
- The liquid temperature can be between -10 +60 degrees.
- Depending on the generated head, the viscosity of the lubricant should be between 20 and 400 mm2 /s.
- A filter element with a filtration rating of 25 microns must be present in the circulation system.
- The drive shaft should rotate at 1500 rpm for 16 MPa pumps, and 960 rpm for 6.3 MPa pumps.
- There are models with both left and right rotation of the shaft.
Important: if we take a two-flow pump for comparison, then the technical characteristics should be considered for each flow separately.
Causes of premature pump wear
Any mechanism, no matter how well it is monitored and technical inspection is carried out on time, is gradually subject to wear and tear. This is the normal state of any mechanical drive. But, there are reasons why wear and tear can occur ahead of schedule. And this is not necessarily heavy exploitation:
- incorrectly selected quality and viscosity hydraulic oil;
- missing filter element;
- untimely replacement of hydraulic fluid;
- incorrectly selected safety valve;
- overheating or hypothermia of the working fluid;
- wear of one or two bearings.
Pumping equipment will work perfectly for a long time, if you closely monitor the main temperature indicators and timely carry out technical inspection. Change hydraulic oil and filter element.
