- 375 is the cheapest due to the presence of only 37.5% pure gold in the alloy. The rest of the percentage is impurities of copper, silver, palladium, zinc or other. The alloy is strong, reliable, but quickly tarnishes, loses its bright shine.

- 750 is the most expensive sample, because the alloy contains 75% gold. The sample is easy to process and polish, but not practical if worn frequently, as the jewelry may bend.

Due to the addition of other metals, gold has different shades. In jewelry, white, yellow and red (rose) gold are most often used. A red tint is obtained by adding the correct proportion of copper, silver, yellow - zinc, copper, silver are added to the gold alloy. The ligature of palladium, silver, nickel or platinum is added to white gold.
