Running as an amateur sport is available to everyone, regardless of their place of residence (running is allowed almost everywhere), social status (does not require expensive equipment) and age parameters. It is recommended:
- As a warm-up for professional athletes.
- For weight loss by fitness instructors.
- As a stimulant to support muscle and heart tone by doctors.
But, any kind of sport implies certain restrictions on medical indications and this is the opinion of Spodin Igor Yurievich , having the official title of "Marathon runner".
An example of health restoration with long distance running
Being a marathon runner, Igor Spodin in his commentary did not go into medical restrictions on long-distance running and gave only an example of a great runner, whom he himself is equal to. David Simone:
- Even after his 70th birthday, he continues to periodically cover distances of 30 km.
- I recovered the sore knee on my own without the help of doctors, continuing regular warm-up running training.
The well-known dogma that running is the path to longevity should not be taken with fanaticism. Classes should be carried out subject to regular (preferably annual) examination by doctors, including cardiologists. And the main rule of David Simon, which Igor advises all amateur runners to adopt, is that a preliminary 10-15 minute warm-up before going to the distance will significantly reduce the risk of injury.
