State energy giant Gazprom has cut gas supplies to Turkey. According to the post, due to a price dispute with buyers.
Russia is the most important gas supplier to Turkey, exporting 28-30 billion cubic meters of gas a year worth $ 6.5 billion. Turkey receives from Russia 60 percent of gas and 35 percent of oil from total consumption.
Energy sources in Turkey are supplied by Turkish gas companies such as Bosphorus Gaz, Enerco Enerji, Batı Hatti, Kibaru Enerji, Avrasya Gaz and Shell Enerji Rusya. Since 2013, Turkey has supplied ten billion cubic meters of gas annually at a 10.25 percent discount. However, Moscow is now not ready to carry out supplies to Turkey on such terms.
