The well-known Turkish company Vestel for the production of household appliances is closing an enterprise in Russia, as the head of Vestel said. He said that the closure of production is not connected with the deterioration of relations between Turkey and Russia.
The head of the company noted that in 2015 Vestel had already closed one of its enterprises in Russia due to the economic crisis in this country and a decrease in sales in the Russian market. He also said that the decision to close the Vestel plant was made before the crisis in relations between Turkey and Russia began.
Vestel was founded in 1984 in the city of Manisa, located in the south-west of Turkey, and is engaged in the production of televisions, air conditioners and other household appliances.
