Turkish companies offer rebar at a price with a further increase amid increased demand. The offer price is in the range of $ 360-370 per tonne EXW. Recent increases in scrap and billet prices have also contributed to higher prices in the domestic rebar market.
Accordingly, export prices for rebar also increased to $ 340-355 per tonne FOB. Nevertheless, market participants expect that prices will experience a correction in the near future. Meanwhile, demand for rebar remains stable in Saudi Arabia in hopes of more construction work.
Domestic rebar offers in the UAE were in the range of $ 370-381 per tonne EXW TW. The proposals of domestic producers of reinforcing bars in Egypt increased to $ 555-575 per tonne EXW, excluding VAT. New rules for exporting goods to the Egyptian market and growing optimism about the execution of various government projects have led to higher prices.
A downturn in construction activity and an increase in imports of Chinese rebar has a strong impact on domestic rebar manufacturers in Pakistan. However, local rebar prices range from $ 610 to $ 640 per tonne EXW.
Rebar prices continue to rise supported by scrap and billet prices
