Liebherr, Germany, and Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft have signed a new contract for the supply of a Liebherr RL 1500-30 EX Litronic crane, which is to begin work on the platform of the Korchagin oil and gas condensate field in the Russian part of the Caspian Sea by the end of 2016.
The Liebherr RL 1500 crane with a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons has an unlimited swivel range of 360 °, with the ability to change the outreach. The crane provides a maximum reach of up to 36 m from the pivot point of the turntable. All this makes the RL 1500 the optimal solution for providing open deck equipment on drilling and associated platforms, as well as for unloading ships.
The crane was manufactured at a specialized Liebherr plant in Rostock, Germany. The RL 1500-30 EX Litronic is designed in an explosion-proof design for operation at temperatures from -30 ° C to + 40.6 ° C and wind speeds up to 25 m /s.
