The Russian corporation Uralvagonzavod has completed the delivery of 3100 freight cars for various purposes to Azerbaijan Railways. The head of the press service of the CJSC Nadir Azmamedov said: “All the cars were delivered within 11 months. The lot of pastures consists of 400 closed, 400 flatcars, 200 platforms for the transportation of large-tonnage containers, 1000 open-top wagons, 300 grain carriers, 600 tank cars, 100 hoppers and 100 cement carriers. "
The contract between the Russian Research and Production Corporation Uralvagonzavod and Azerbaijan Railways CJSC for the supply of 3100 freight cars was signed in March 2015. The first cars under the contract began to be delivered to Azerbaijan from April 25 last year.
