Russian Mechel announced that the company produced 1.01 million tonnes of steel in the fourth quarter of 2015, decreasing output by 1 percent from a month earlier. Pig iron production amounted to 1 million tons, which is 1 percent lower than the output of the previous month.
In 2015, Mechel's steel production amounted to 4.32 million tonnes, an increase of 1 percent year on year. Pig iron production reached 4.06 million tons, an increase of 3 percent year on year.
