Russia plans Hyperloop route between Moscow and St. Petersburg

Россия планирует Hyperloop маршрут между Москвой и Санкт-Петербургом
Russian Railways RZD is working on implementing its own high-speed transport technology with the American company Hyperloop One. The technology will be used for the first time on a 700-kilometer highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg. To perform road works, it is proposed to use advanced polymeric materials, including perforated drainage pipes , which provide the most efficient removal of excess moisture and a long service life, allowing you to prevent the destructive effect of precipitation on the structure.

In the long term, Hyperloop technology will be used for regions far from the center to the east and south. For such a large country as Russia with remote and still underdeveloped regions, the technology is especially interesting for freight transport. With Hyperloop, raw materials and goods from the Baltic Sea ports can reach the capital in record time. Russian scientists have already contributed to their own trials in the Hyperloop magnetic levitation technology developed by an American company but has not yet been implemented in the United States. The essence of the process is that the Hyperloop train will move at a speed of more than 300 kilometers per hour inside a hollow tube from which air is evacuated.

The technology will, on the one hand, be developed by Russian scientists, and at the same time, together with the California-based Hyperloop One. To this end, a few months ago, they founded a working group in order to create a concept for the implementation of the technology in Russia.

More ambitious transport projects include the construction of a transport route between Siberia and Alaska. Both the train and the route must cross the strait between the two countries. It is planned that the "tube and capsule" will revolutionize the transport of the future, which will be able to reach those speeds of up to 1220 kilometers per hour.
