Ukraine expects to buy Russian gas at lower prices

Kiev expects the price of Russian gas to fall below $ 177 per thousand cubic meters in the third quarter. It is important to note that this provision is criticized by the European Commission. In practice, this means that Kiev most likely will not continue to buy gas from Russia. Of course, Ukraine still buys Russian raw materials on the EU market, but pays less for it. Analysts emphasize that this is due to the fact that some of the gas purchased by Ukraine in the European Union is not from Russia. They believe that Moscow is thus losing market share to its eastern neighbor.
