The Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan proposes to carry out international transportation from Ukraine to Kazakhstan bypassing Russia, starting from July 1, as the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Kazakhstan recommends two routes for transportation: one of the routes passes through Georgia and Azerbaijan, then along the Caspian Sea to Aktau; another route runs through Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The fact is that on July 1, the decree of the President of the Russian Federation expires, which establishes the procedure for the transit of goods from Ukraine to Kazakhstan through the territory of Russia.
Currently, the ferry complex of the Aktau port handles about 500 wagons and 1000 trucks every month, with the potential for expansion. As stated in the message of the Ministry, "Taking into account the expected additional volumes, the port of Aktau has the possibility of additional transshipment of cargo coming from Ukraine."
