Belarus and China agreed to implement joint scientific and technical projects

China and Belarus are planning to implement about 30 scientific, technical and innovation projects in priority areas of development in the next two years, which are of mutual interest for both countries. The names of the projects were approved in Minsk during the work of the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental committee for cooperation at the first meeting of the commission for scientific and technical cooperation.

The priority areas for the development of innovations are energy efficient technologies, industrial and construction technologies, medicine and pharmacy, agro-industrial technologies, information and aerospace technologies, processing of natural resources, and the nanoindustry.

The participants in scientific and technical cooperation are the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, ministries, universities, research and production enterprises, high-tech companies, science and technology parks, centers of international scientific and technical cooperation.

Thus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, together with the University of Ningbo, is implementing the project "Pressure treatment process and a complex of equipment for economical precision rolling of shafts with spiral surfaces", the achievements of which will be used to create in Belarus the production of anchor bolts of a new generation used in the mining industry and significantly increasing safety underground work. It is assumed that the export of this type of product will be carried out in 2017-2020 in the amount of over 800 thousand dollars.

Prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Chinese scientific, technical and innovative cooperation are based on the creation of a joint laboratory of optoelectronic and laser technologies between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Institute of Oceanographic Instrumentation of the Academy of Sciences of Shandong Province.

The BNTU and the North-Eastern University of Shenyang are considering the possibility of opening a Belarusian-Chinese center for advanced applied engineering and technical research. It is also planned to create a joint engineering and educational center "BSUIR - Huawei" for additional education, software development, research and use in the educational process.

In addition, Belarus is ready to increase the supply of modern, innovative, competitive in price and quality tractors, cars, quarry, agricultural and road construction equipment, technological equipment, medicines, food and many other goods.
