The plant named after the very F. I. Dzerzhinsky failed the plan for the production of pig iron by 70%

The underproduction of pig iron by 70 percent of the planned figure led to the work of the further production chain of PJSC Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky "in June. This was reported by the press service of the plant on Wednesday.

The converter shop worked on the availability of pig iron, having processed the volumes supplied by the blast furnaces. Nevertheless, even with such a low production, the lack of scrap metal was noticeably felt. With the plan of 37 thousand tons in June, the plant received, along with additives, only 8 thousand tons.

The company said that the failure to fulfill the general production task, both in terms of production and sales, caused a shortage of blast-furnace coke.

“Despite the fact that in June there were three suppliers of coke to the plant - in addition to Alchevsky, we received raw materials from Bagleysky coke and from Dnepropetrovsk, - its quantity was not enough to ensure smooth operation and full loading of even two blast furnaces,” the press noted -service of the plant.

In general, the rolling redistribution of the production plan was not fulfilled by the plant named after Dzerzhinsky (minus 1300 tons). The target for the sale of rolled products was completed - plus 468 tons due to the large volume of shipment of products from the 400/200 mill. The plan for the shipment of commercial continuously cast billets was not fulfilled due to the underproduction of steel - minus 70 thousand tons was underproduced and minus 66 thousand tons was not shipped. Minus 65 thousand tons to the plan - the total for the shipment of marketable products of the plant as a whole.

“The work of the plant in July will also be conditioned by the supply of raw materials, first of all - coke. Currently, several options for the enterprise's operation are being considered in terms of loading the main units, ”the plant summed up.
