Tata Steel is trying to find partners for its facilities in Europe. Part of the UK branch has already been sold, now it's time for the rest. Tata Steel is also looking for opportunities to enter into partnerships with other steel producers.
Currently, there is information about the beginning of the next stage of negotiations with potential partners, this time in relation to the entire Tata Steel Europe, namely, the search for partners for joint activities, including joint ventures. Tata Steel Europe has started negotiations with “strategic players in the steel market”, including ThyssenKrupp.
Tata Steel is also in talks to sell its Specialty Steels plants in South Yorkshire and the Hartlepool pipe plant, which have their own largely independent supply chains. “We have several proposals for each of these institutions and the formal process will begin shortly,” said Koushik Chatterjee, Managing Director of Tata Steel Europe.
