The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts that Ukraine will receive a harvest of 61.225 million tonnes of grain in the current agricultural year (July 2016 to June 2017), up 2.4 percent from the previous forecast. The country should export 33.63 million tons of grain, up 3 percent from the previous forecast.
The harvest of coarse grains in Ukraine will amount to 36.225 million tons (35.775 million in the report for June), including 26 million tons of corn and 9.1 million tons of barley (8.65 million in the previous report).
Wheat crop and export forecasts were revised upwards by 1 million tonnes to 25 million tonnes and 12.5 million tonnes, respectively, while the outlook for coarse grain exports remained unchanged at 21.13 million tonnes, including 17 million tonnes of corn.
