Ukraine plans to sell An-178 aircraft to Azerbaijan

During the visit of the President of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Petro Poroshenko, speaking in Baku with statements for the press together with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, said that one of the most promising projects for Ukraine is the sale of An-178 aircraft to Azerbaijan, and that the visit made to him overall a good experience.

Petro Poroshenko praised the results of the 5th meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. He invited the President of Azerbaijan to Ukraine to hold the next meeting in the near future. Petro Poroshenko noted the prospects for cooperation in the economic sphere. In addition to the sale of aircraft, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of energy and fuel. The head of the Ukrainian state appreciated the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the UN Security Council and others in international organizations. “We discussed the issue of mutual protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our countries. Ukraine supports the position of Azerbaijan in connection with the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, and it gives us great satisfaction to know that Azerbaijan also takes an unambiguous position on the issue of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, ”Poroshenko said.
