The largest coke-chemical enterprise in Ukraine switched to autonomous energy generation after the last two high-voltage lines supplying the AKHZ were damaged as a result of shelling. At the moment, due to its own generation (two industrial generators in operation), the first and second coke shops are provided with electricity and are at the minimum production level. The third and fourth workshops are urgently transferred to the conservation mode.
Over the past few months, the Avdiivka Coke Plant has been receiving electricity from two of the four required high-voltage lines. Therefore, industrial generators are used for additional power supply of some areas of enterprises, including 15 kW diesel generator . Similar generators are also used at construction sites, retail areas, and at some sites they are used as a permanent source of electricity.
Now a team of power engineers of the plant and DTEK specialists are trying to negotiate with the military on the provision of a green corridor for repair and restoration work.
The current situation affected Avdiivka. There is no electricity in the city. Due to the blackout of the Donetsk filtering station, the water supply is limited.
Recall that since the beginning of the hostilities, the AKHZ has been stopped for the 13th time. The enterprise was repeatedly subjected to massive shelling. Over 320 shells exploded on the territory of AKHZ, nine workers of the plant were killed, over 50 people were injured.
