EU imposed five-year anti-dumping duties on Chinese rebar

The European Union has introduced final anti-dumping measures against imports of rebar from China. They will be valid for 5 years.

An anti-dumping investigation on the import of rebar from China was launched on April 30, 2015 as a result of a complaint filed by EU metallurgists, and temporary duties were imposed on January 29 this year.

The volume of duties assumed after the completion of the investigation was increased from 18.4 percent to 22.5 percent. The EU is currently researching subsidies for other steel products imported from China.
