A joint car production plant will be built in the Neftchala region of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani company Azeurocar, together with the major Iranian car manufacturer Iran Khodro, is planning to produce popular Iranian brands Dena, Samand, Rana and Soren.
The production capacity of the joint venture will be at the level of 10,000 vehicles per year. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will visit Baku on August 7 to participate in talks with Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin.
It is also planned to discuss issues of expanding trilateral cooperation in the spheres of trade, energy, telecommunications, environment, transport, and the fight against terrorism.
During the meeting, the President of Iran will discuss with the President of Azerbaijan the implementation of the agreements already reached in the spheres of trade, energy, industry, culture, telecommunications in the banking sector, as well as railway transport.
Rouhani will hold a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Putin to discuss issues of expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest for cooperation.
