Iran, which is recognized as one of the largest oil and gas producers in the world, as well as the world's fourth largest proven oil reserves and the second largest natural gas reserves in the world, currently produces 3.65 million barrels per day (MBD), which is more about 0.2 mb /d per day less than the level before the sanctions.
Before the sanctions were imposed, Iran exported 2.3 mb /d. The sanctions have reduced the figure to 1 million barrels. Economic sanctions against Iran have been lifted. The Islamic Republic increased its output in January by 0.4 mb /d after the lifting of sanctions and resumed exports to Europe, in addition, Asian buyers also increased purchases.
