From October 1, the technical capabilities of gas transportation from Slovakia to Ukraine will increase. Eustream reports that an additional 1.131 million m3 of gas will be pumped eastward every day.
This means that more than 18 million m3 of gas per day will be sent to Ukraine to the so-called entry point. In practice, this year through this point you will be transported to the East using the so-called reverse over 6 billion m3 of gas.
The increase in throughput is good news for Kiev, effectively increasing the security of supply. Ukraine imports gas using the systems of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary, as it abandoned the direct purchase of raw materials in Russia, explaining the inflated price of raw materials.
In early September, the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Groisman, assured of the readiness of the Slovak government to provide Ukraine with the maximum amount of raw materials.
Ukraine will be able to increase the volume of gas from Slovakia
