Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange are holding near their highest levels in two weeks, strengthening on the back of improved outlook for the US economy and the recovery in China's steel sector, which is fueled by speculative buying in base metals.
Copper on the London Metal Exchange fell 0.2 percent to $ 4,729.50 a tonne for three months, but in the previous session it climbed to its highest level since October 13 at $ 4,759 a tonne.
