Russian wheat export prices rose for the sixth time in a row, supported by high prices in Ukraine, a competitor across the Black Sea that recently signed major deals with India.
Russian wheat prices for delivery across the Black Sea in November were at $ 178 per tonne for delivery on board (FOB), up $ 3 from a week earlier. India is expected to receive eight to ten shipments of wheat from Ukraine in November. Prices for Russian wheat from the ports of the Azov Sea with a protein content of 12.5 percent fell by $ 1 to $ 153 per ton.
Russia exported 12.5 million tonnes of grain, including 10.1 million tonnes of wheat, between July 1 and October 26, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. The rate of grain exports was down 6 percent year on year.
In European Russia, domestic third-grade wheat prices rose 50 rubles per week to 10,375 rubles ($ 164) per tonne on an ex-factory basis, which does not include shipping costs.
The price of Russian wheat is growing against the background of strengthening prices in Ukraine
